Principle of Ulthera 

The principle of Ulthera is similar to the way of concentrating sunbeams into a focus with a magnifying glass. As shown in the above picture, Ulthera procedure uses ultrasound to targeted area underlying skin, heating it with sound waves and thus tightening and lifting the face. 

SMAS, which is called the Superficial Muscular Aponeurotic System, is located to the skin’s 4.5 mm layers.

It is also incorporates traditional ultrasound imaging, which allows practitioners to see the layers of tissue they are treating, ensuring the heats is delivered to SMAS and provoking an inflammatory response that sets of a healing response that in turn starts up collagen production.
